Renowned Maghera faith healer Danny Gallager will be the subject of a documentary that will be broadcast around the world next year.

Danny told the MAIL that he had the surprise of his life when a Canadian film crew from the History Channel contacted him in connection with the project.

“It really surprised me that a big channel like that got in touch with me,” he said. “I don’t know how they found me.”

The ‘fly on the wall’ documentary will be dubbed in several languages and is expected to be one-hour long.

Danny who is the much publicized seventh son of a seventh son (and therefore reputed to have special powers) is accustomed to making front page news due to his ‘miraculous cures’ that include blindness and paralysis. Publications that he has featured in include the Sunday World and News of the World.

However, the seasoned headline-maker was unprepared for the intense scrutiny that the documentary entailed.

“They rigged the car with cameras and travelled around Ireland with me to my healing centres. One day, they filmed from 8.30 in the morning to 9 0’clock at night. They filmed me with clients and they filmed every move I made. I asked them: ‘How much longer is this going to go on?’”

Currently, Danny is holding healing clinics in Letterkenny and Naas in Co. Kildare, having recently held clinics in Cookstown, Ballymena, Portadown and Coleraine.

“I am very, very busy at the moment,” he continues. “People from all walks of life, from new-born babies to those who are 100 years of age, are coming to my clinics, droves of people from places such as Donegal, Castledawson, Newtownards and even abroad.”
