Lots of sparkles, swords and surprises are expected at Springhill this Bank Holiday weekend as the National Trust property in Moneymore will for the third year running host the fantastic Princesses and Pirates event.
Join in lots of enchanting and swashbuckling games and crafts. Create your very own fairy princess wand or walk the plank if you dare!
The highlight of this year’s event will be the Sparkles and Swords Treasure Trail. Follow Captain Blackbeard around the twists and turns of Springhill to find where X marks the spot.
Take a tour of Springhill House to hear more about the ten generations of the Lenox-Conyngham family and help find the missing pots of gold, hidden around the historic property.
For those Princesses and Pirates who come dressed to impress, there will be all sorts of pretty prizes and lovely loot to be won! Judging will take place at 3pm each day.
Whilst at Springhill, why not take the time to discover the natural play trail. Enjoy a wild adventure through the woods, creep through laurel caves, balance on tree trunks and board walks, swing on a rope swing and climb up the peek a boo tree.
Princesses and Pirates will take place at Springhill on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 August from 12-5pm. Normal admission, National Trust Members free. For further information visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/springhill
