A large crowd attended the launch of Carrickmore’s new book ‘The Patrician celebrates 50 years with a Special Book of Memories’ at a special launch event held in the Tyrone town.

The book launch was held in the Patrician recently and the organisers have praised the local community for their support. The night included tributes to those who have made the Patrician what it is today and some memories of the Patrician from those who attended.

“The response has been fantastic,” Tracey McNally, member of the Patrician Committee said: “The turnout was brilliant. The sales of the book are good at the moment; I expect that they will increase as we get even closer to Christmas and the New Year.

“At the launch I was inundated with comments from people telling me that they are so impressed with the book and are looking forward to enjoying its contents.

“If even one person tells you that the book is good, it means all the hard work was worth it. I would also like to pay tribute to Cathy Muldoon and to all the contributors. All their efforts has made the book even more special,” she added.
