A promise he wasn’t long in fulfilling.

A spokesperson for State of the Arts Tattoos said a very excited Zezinho Pascoa turned up at their Dungannon studio last Wednesday asking if he could have the signature on his arm, inscribed there forever.

Despite the artists being booked for months in advance, founder Rory O’Neill said he would do it.

“It’s one of those things, you just have to take it on the spare of the moment,” he explained.

And 15 minutes later a very happy Zezinho left the studio with his new £20 artwork firmly in place.

Studio manager Ryan O’Neill said: “He met Conor McGregor on a plane either to or from Portugal. He asked him for an autograph and then told McGregor he’s going to get this tattooed.

“He just came in off the street. He had it on (his arm) a day or two.”

The former St Patrick’s College student, who has shared pictures and videos of his encounter on Facebook, said: “I promised him, I’m gonna get his signature tattoo and it’s done.”

Not one to shy away from tattoos himself, we’re sure the MMA legend would approve.

And as for the request, according to Ryan it’s not all that unusual, as just two days later a die-hard Nathan Carter fan asked for the same treatment.
