Video: Glasgowbury founder wins top promoter award in London

Glasgowbury founder Paddy Glasgow has scooped the ‘Promoter Of The Year’ Award at this year’s UK Festival Awards.

The Draperstown man who was the driving force behind 13 highly successful festivals, beat-off competition from household names like Creamfields and the Isle of Wight Festival.

With his trademark humour after picking up the award at the ceremony at The Roundhouse in London, Paddy said: “It’s a great achievement for a pair of wellies to go over to London town and lift the award.”

He added: “On a serious note, it’s fantastic to be awarded such an accolade, particularly knowing that it has been chosen by your peers within the festival and events industry.

“I’m looking forward to our next venture that is Glasgowbury’s Cornstore Creative Hub in Draperstown in which we will continue to work with many creative individuals for many years to come.

“Look out for Small But MASSIVE, we may appear near you! We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the awards and the other festivals and supporting industries that have helped Glasgowbury to date.”
