Video: Moneymore singer to support US superstar Don McLean on UK tour
Talented, unassuming and a cookie-monster by her own admission, 20-year-old Chelsey Chambers has been making a name for herself supporting acts Riptide Movement and Rainy Boy Sleep.
And, not only was she hand picked by Steve Earle for his recent tour of Ireland, the songbird is getting ready to pack her bags and head off on a three week tour of the UK with none other than Don McLean.

Hide AdTruly excited by the prospect of taking her songs across the water for the first time, Chelsey said she is so happy they believed in her.
“I got a phone call saying Don McLean had picked me to go on tour with him and I was like ‘yes of course’.
“Seriously Don McLean - the actual Don McLean?”
But the singer-songwriter who pens her tracks based on events in her own life, said she will have to miss her second year university finals for the gig - but that it’s worth it.
“It’s a good break and a good opportunity,” she said.
As for what she’ll treat her audience to this time, she added: “The songs I perform are all my own - though I will probably throw in a few covers the odd night to mix things up a bit for me.”

Taking in the major cities in the UK and Ireland, Chelsey will get the chance to share her tunes at the Royal Albert Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic and at two sold out nights at Dublin’s Vicar Street - and to think it all started at the Burnavon.
