A very fine balancing act on Giro Day 2
Homegrown talent helped to keep the crowds entertained as they waited on the international cyclists to make their way to Carrick on Saturday.
Mezzo soprano Sarah Richmond was in fine voice during an Italian opera-laced performance on stage in High Street.
The street entertainers proved creative too in their endeavours to get people into the spirit of the Giro d’Italia.

Similar dexterity was on display from the musicians who made up Sir Henry Ingelsby’s Corps of Fife and Drums performing at the entrance to Carrickfergus Castle.
