Action Cancer urges volunteers to tackle two of the '˜Seven Sisters'

A leading charity has thrown down the gauntlet to volunteers urging them to lace up their hiking boots and tackle the two most famous peaks of the Derryveagh mountains this spring in order to raise funds for cancer support.

The Donegal 2 Peak Challenge, which takes place over March 19-20 will incorporate two of Ireland’s most impressive mountains, Errigal and Muckish.

Action Cancer Events Officer Leigh Chamberlain commented: “This is a new and exciting event for the charity and expect places to fill up very quickly. We are asking participants to raise just £300 which will allow the charity to provide 7 counselling sessions to someone affected by cancer or 12 Health Checks for indivi
