Calls to mark Frampton win
A tweet from the sporting hero on Sunday night said: “Home sweet home. Bedtime story for my little girl and school run tomorrow. Back to normality”.
And sure enough, after delighting patrons of The Plough on Sunday night, he was surrounded by children and well wishers at the school his daughter attends in Banbridge on Monday morning, and he has even been spotted nipping out to buy the papers.

Hide AdDUP group leader Councillor Carla Lockhart has said her party have submitted a Notice of Motion that calls on council to mark Mr Carl Frampton’s win on Saturday night.
The notice of motion has been submitted in Councillor Lockhart, Alderman McCrum and Councillor Paul Greenfield’s names, given that Carl Frampton lives in the Banbridge area.
The notice calls on the coucil to issue ‘an immediate congratulatory message to Mr Carl Frampton following his successful win against Mr Scott Quigg to secure the WBA super-bantamweight title’.
In addition, it calls on the council, given that Carl lives within our Borough, to hold a Civic Reception inviting him, his family and his team of coaches to Council to officially mark the significance of his sporting success and recent win in Manchester.
