Eishtec launch latest ‘training academy’ for new recruits
It will provide participants with the opportunity for employment with the firm.
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry launched the Academy last week. In April, Eishtec UK Ltd announced the creation of 320 jobs over the next three years when it opened a new customer service centre in Lurgan.

Hide AdThe Academy will provide 20 training opportunities to give participants the skills and experience required to take up exciting job opportunities.
Minister Farry said: “This second Training Academy will provide participants with the opportunity of employment with Eishtec as they aim to fill 320 positions over the next three years.
“The Academy, which was designed by my Department and Southern Regional College (SRC) under the Assured Skills initiative, continues to be a great example of pro-active government intervention to meet the needs of investors, whilst enhancing the skills of the unemployed and providing job opportunities.”
The Academy will target individuals with excellent communication skills and offers an intensive three week training programme leading to the opportunity for employment with Eishtec.

Hide AdThe programme includes delivering customer service, technical support, retentions and sales services and administration call analytics, primarily to the mobile telecoms sector which includes accreditation in “Principles of Communication and Customer Service in Contact Centre Operations” from the Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Contact Centre Operations. The training will be delivered by SRC in its Lurgan Campus.
Colm Tracey, Director of Eishtec, said: “After the successful completion of the first Eishtec Training Academy, we are looking forward to meeting the new batch of recruits. The on-going partnership with SRC has given us confidence that we can build on course content, as well as increase the number of candidates that have already graduated through the Academy and gained successful employment within our customer service, technical support and sales teams.”
Applications to the Academy will close at noon on Thursday, September 17. The training programme for successful applicants will start on Monday 12 October.
