The autumn programme includes arts and crafts, painting, pilates, 50-plus aerobics, bridge, bowls, badminton and various levels of walking and many other activities. Information talks, days trips and social events are all part of what the group offers, with the aim of satisfying the need of the community. The open day starts at 10am until 3pm in St John’s Parish Centre, Main Street. Tom Hughes, chairperson of Moira Friendship Group, said, “Everyone is welcome to come to our open day. Drop in at any time to experience the taster sessions and the large number of exhibitors. You can enrol as a member and have refreshments throughout the day.”
