Local PSNI host unity event in Ballymena
Hosted by Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley, those in attendance included members of the Policing and Community Safety Partnership, church workers, Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators, loyalist and nationalist community workers, Women’s Aid, Housing Executive, colleagues from addiction support services, education based representatives, ethnic minority groups and many others who are committed to working together for the better of the wider community.
Speaking after the event Chief Inspector McCauley said it was wonderful to see so many individuals and groups coming together to share best practice, discuss the challenges facing us a community and looking at ways we can better work together in the future.

Hide AdHe added: “The purpose of this seminar was to aid in the further development of community respect for all backgrounds which will filter back into the wider community.
“We were fortunate enough to have a range of speakers attending from a variety of backgrounds and active participation on the day further stimulated discussion and conversations around understanding different viewpoints, cultures and ideas.
“I would like to thank everyone who participated in the seminar and look forward to developing the constructive ideas generated at today’s event.”
