Hide AdDefence said that Smallwoods had been at a friend’s house on the night in question playing poker. Although he hadn't planned to drink he relented late in the evening and had two beers.
Court heard that Smallwoods was deeply embarassed by the incident and that he had recently left his employment to start up his own car sales business and that his car was his lifeblood.
In sentencing Smallwoods, District Judge, Richard Wilson, said that he hoped he had learned his lesson.
