Man stole 10 Celtic shirts
John Joseph McGreevy (47), of Maeve House, Duncairn Parade, stole 10 Celtic football shirts, worth 399.90, from a local sports store on July 30.
He was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Ballymena Magistrates Court.

McGreevy told police he had been asked to carry the bag for a female and didn’t know what was in it. He later made a full admission to police.
A defending solicitor said it was an “absolutely stupid offence” which was detected when the store alarms went off.
District Judge Des Perry slammed McGreevy’s actions, adding: “Consider yourself fortunate that I’m giving you a chance”
