MLA in plea for justice in Enda Dolan case
West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan said that he hopes “justice is finally delivered for the Dolan family” after the Director of Public Prosecutions last week personally made a bid in court to have the sentence for hit-and-run driver David Lee Stewart increased.
Stewart crashed into the 18-year-old Co Tyrone pedestrian in south Belfast in October 2014. He had been drinking heavily and taking drugs, and then tried to flee the scene.

Mr McCrossan said: “It is now imperative that the record is put straight and that those responsible for his death experience the full extent of the law.”
He hoped the judges would now “come back with a decision that echoes the public outcry and provides the justice that the Dolan family deserve and have longed for”.
