Portrush is proud to be home of champion McDowell
The next time you drive into Portrush you will be greeted by a sign that tells you that you are in the 'Home of US Open Champion Graeme McDowell'
Graeme and his family joined the Mayor of Coleraine, Cllr Norman Hillis, for the fitting of the sign on Friday morning.

Just one month on from this Open win at Pebble Beach, Graeme said he was "delighted" by the signage.
"As a proud Portrush man, this is a huge honour and I am genuinely humbled by the level of recognition I have received in recent weeks," he said.
"The amount of support I have been given since my win, especially from the local community, has been totally overwhelming."
Two more signs will be placed on approach roads into the town from Coleraine and Portstewart.
