Potential investors ask about Shackleton every six days
Shackleton Barracks were vacated by the army a number of years ago and handed to the Office of First and Deputy First Minister (OFMdFM) by the Ministry of Defence in 2011.
The Northern Ireland Executive has spent somewhere in the region of £5.9 million to £8.1 million “decontaminating” the former army site since it was granted to the Northern Ireland Executive.

Hide AdIn the past 12 months, there have been 60 inquiries from potential investors about the former army barracks, the Sentinel can reveal.
The figures were released by OFMdFM in response to a query by local MLA John Dallat. The Department of Agriculture are also planning to set up at the site in Ballykelly.
