‘Where’s our money Jane?’

FRAUDSTER Jane Elliott, a former Banbridge florist, will not have to repay any of the money she swindled from her victims, despite pleading guilty to six charges in court last week.

Elliott was sentenced to a year’s probation but a spokeswoman from the Public Prosecutions Service confirmed to the Leader that no court order was made requiring her to pay off more than £2,000 in debts.

The 37-year-old, who currently works at Lisburn Golf Club, will undergo 12 months supervision by a probation officer. Elliott’s victims have hit out at the “lenient” sentence, saying they are shocked she will not be forced to repay a penny of the money.
