Cambridge House U-14 side finish encouraging season
The U 14 squad coached by Mr Finlay and Jordan Foster have won 18 of their 22 fixtures this season.
On Wednesday 9th March the team competed in the City of Derry U14 tournament. Cambridge House defeated Limavady Grammar, Dalriada and Ballymena Academy to secure top spot in their group and an automatic place in the final. The Ulster selectors at the tournament were particularly impressed by the expansive and dynamic phases of play that Cambridge House was showcasing.

Hide AdThe Final against Coleraine Grammar was evenly contested but ultimately Cambridge House with their physically imposing players ran out the winners.
Four days later, the squad assembled and walked the short journey to Ballymena Academy to attempt to win their second trophy in a matter of 4 days, the O’kane Cup.
The team started well and defeated Royal school Armagh 5-0 in their opening group game. A hotly tipped Wallace High school team was the next opponents for Cambridge House. The 20 minute game was a clash of the titans, as two very well drilled sides played out a 0-0 first half. A missed tackle late in the second half handed Wallace a hard fought 5-0 win.
Cambridge House entered the Quarter finals of the Cup and played the winners of Group B, Dungannon Royal School. A large crowd was now starting to follow the Cambridge squad, excited by the brand of rugby they were playing. Dungannon started off the stronger of the two teams and through short range pick and goes, took an early 7-0 lead.

Hide AdFine running rugby ensued and Cambridge House ran out winners by 3 tries to 1. A winning margin of 17 -7.
A semi- final against Belfast Royal Academy was to be the undoing of the Cambridge House team. The match was extremely tightly contested with BRA winning 3-0. The dream of a second trophy was over by the smallest of margins but the Cambridge House squad walked off the pitch with their heads held high to huge applause from their supporters and family members.
