Dickson injury threatens career
The experienced defender was out for the majority of last season after sustaining a fractured skull whilst heading Glenavon’s winner against Cliftonville over a year ago.
And after returning to action this pre-season, Dickson injured his cruciate ligament and now faces another year on the sidelines.

Hide Ad“Unfortunately, Hugh has cruciate ligament damage and it’s a career-threatening injury. We’re very concerned about him at the moment,” said club boss Marty Quinn.
“He had a scan and it showed up cruciate and also ligament damage so it’s going to be an operation and a long haul for him. It could be a year before he gets back playing but he wants to go ahead and get the operation and see how it goes.
“The big man hasn’t had any luck after fracturing his skull last season and then doing this in a pre-season friendly for the Reserves.”
