Foursome aim for Coca/Cola Irish Junior Cup wins

IN the tie of the round in the Irish Junior Cup BBOB had an excellent win over Raceview. Ardmore bowed out at the first hurdle losing at home to Belfast side Ford.

First Division side Glendermott booked their place in the next round with a home win against Saintfield United Seconds, while Caw had a superb win at St Oliver Plunkett.

In the Premier Division, Lincoln Courts, after their impressive opening day win at Ardmore, came down to earth with a bang losing 4-2 to an impressive Ballykelly side.

Donemana lost for a second week in a row losing by the odd goal of nine at home to Newbuildings Reserves.

In the remaining game in the Division Dungiven Reserves and Drummond shared four goals and the points.

There are a number of North West sides involved in the Irish Junior Cup again this Saturday, while there are also two games in the Premier Division.

The Kings Lane men showed that they are going to be a side to be reckoned with after their win at Lincoln Courts last week.

They have recruited well during the close season and they are bringing through a number of promising youngsters.

The visitors ply their trade in the Division One of the Ballymena Junior league, they were beaten last week and they may find things to difficult again this week.

Donemana v Richill Reserves

The home side have lost their opening two games and they have conceded 9nine goals the early signs are not encouraging, however they have a good team spirit and one win could make all the difference.

Their opponents had an impressive 7-0 win last Saturday and they play in the competitive Mid-Ulster league Division three which is a decent standard, this could be close.

The Limavady men should be at full strength now that the cricket season has ended, they got a good point at Dungiven last week and with home advantage they will fancy their chances of progressing.

The visitors play in the Ballymena Junior League Division Two and they had a good away win last week, reportedly to be a more than useful side.
