McNeilly triumphs in close finish at Galgorm Castle
In Division 1 Owen Smith (3) and Daniel Reilly (1) were vying for the lead a point ahead of Joel McNeilly (3).
McNeilly joined Smith and Reilly over Beechers and the scores remained level up the Grove.

Hide AdIn a close finish over the closing two holes McNeilly (par, birdie) edged ahead to win by one point from Smith (two pars) and Reilly (par, birdie) who finished together and with a better last six Smith took second place. Reilly, however, won the Gross.
Division 2 saw Trevor Alexander (5) opening with four pars to take a one point advantage over Terence Martin (7), Michael Nesbitt (6) and Ivan Alexander (7). Emil Wylie (6) after a ‘ding’ at thirteen was another three points behind.
The leadership changed over the next three holes. Martin with two birdies and a bogey and I Alexander, a birdie and two pars, were two points ahead of T Alexander who was one and two points respectively ahead of Nesbitt and Wylie.
I Alexander lost his chance of winning when he ‘dinged’ the last.

Hide AdMartin with bogeys at the last two held on to win by one point from Nesbitt (two pars) with Wylie (two pars), T.Alexander (double bogey, par) and I Alexander (double bogey, ‘ding’) a further point behind.
David McAleese (8) opened with three pars to take a one point lead in Division 3 over Ian Rainey (8) with Samuel J.Graham (9) another point away.
Rainey who had been a point behind McAleese at fourteen joined McAleese through Beechers with Graham two points further behind. McAleese and Rainey were still together with one to play with Graham still two points behind.
Rainey double bogeyed the last and was overtaken by a point after a birdie from Graham. However McAleese parred the last to win by one point.

Hide AdMervyn Lamont (11) led Division 4 after twelve by one point from William Rainey (13) and Tony Dodds (10). A double bogey at the next saw Lamont’s lead increase to three points after ‘dings’ from Rainey and Dodds.
Approaching the seventeenth tee Lamont’s lead was reduced to one point by Dodds after a run of three pars with Rainey a further point away.
Rainey with a par at the Lowlands moved ahead of Lamont (double bogey) by one point followed by Dodds (double bogey) another point behind.
Dodds parred the last to join Rainey (double bogey) but Lamont came back to finish with a par to win by one point from Rainey (better last three) in second place.
Twos were recorded by – J.McCarry (x2), P.Houston, P.McNeilly, E.Wylie, I.Alexander, R.S.Graham, T.Martin, S.J.Graham and C.Orr.
