McWhirter’s men move clear at league summit
And like last week, Bryan McWhirter’s team raced into a healthy lead which was just too much for the No. 1 lads to pull back.

Ibrox were far from spectacular but ground out a win at home to No. 1 Reds. The hosts trailed 2-3 after the first session, they then won the next seven before losing the last three in a 9-6 victory.
No. 1 Blues saved it from being a bad week all round for the club by outpotting Feathers 9-6 in the shock result of the night. Lee Topping was the hero of the hour as he won the all-important 16th frame to secure the two points for the Blues. He also scored 4/4 on the night himself.
Larne FSC stay rooted to the bottom after going down 6-9 at home to St Comgall’s and in the final match of the night Dhu recorded their second win of the campaign, with session scores of 4-1, 2-3 and 3-2 against Thatch Rockets for an overall result of 9-6. Ricky Mann scored a hat-trick for the Dhu.
