Johnny Hampton’s distribution helped Whitten link with Olivier Montels and Woods to maintain the pressure.
Craig Chambers and Ruairi Quinn were effective from the wings and the combination of Matthew Davison, Thompson and Mark Henderson set the platform for progress.
Rodney Blair and Ryan Muldrew also proved key, with Bob Gasek strong as substitute.
They now enter the final game with the title in sight.

PSNI cut the gap to 12-7 but Portadown pushed on to register another score following Mat Quinn’s strong play and a Matthews conversion.
