SLIDESHOW: Fairhill road race a huge success
The event, organised by Ballymena Runners, saw runners tackle two laps of the town centre course.
As the athletes made their way through the 2 mile marker, it was Brian Campbell (Willowfield Harriers) and Glenwherry-based Mark McKinstry (North Belfast Harriers) who led the way, with Aaron Meharg (Acorns AC), Brendan Grew (North Belfast Harriers) and Andrew Considine (North Belfast Harriers) amongst the chasing pack.

The second half played out just as it did for Campbell and McKinstry at the Mayfair 10k two weeks ago, with Brian just edging clear and securing victory, while there was no stopping Cathy McCourt in the ladies’ race.
