Triangle Aces win Charity Shield in snooker league
Willie Dobbin, the Minnesota captain, shared his two frames with Richard McMullan as the Ballymena side attempted to add the Shield to the League title which they had claimed a week earlier.
Marc Hutchinson recorded a 2-0 success over Rory Kinney to put the Triangle team in good position to win the only trophy which had eluded them last season.

Hide AdAces captain Willie Boreland then inflicted a rare defeat on Davy Swann, one of the league’s most consistent performers, to ensure the Shield would make its way to the Triangle club until next season.
As the season moves towards closure, the next final to be decided will be the Knockout Cup final between Dunloy United and either Dunloy Cowboys or Fountain Aces.
