Attention all teenagers: Taste a new activity this Easter!

HOW many times have we heard the young ones complain they're bored during the school holidays! Well, here's a few ideas to keep you occupied and active!

Why not join one of our many teenager taster activity sessions this Easter break. Various activity providers have come together to offer a series of open days and free or reduced taster sessions during the holiday period.

Why not try a free game of pool or snooker? Or a free swim? There's also an introduction to golf, archery, and go karting. And the activities are not strictly limited to teenagers either! For example, Table Tennis suits all ages from 8 to 80! Enjoy one or all of them between 7th and 9th of April.

Speaking in advance of the scheme, TCM Board member, Cllr Mervyn Storey said: "The aim of this scheme is to remind teenagers of some activities that are on their doorstep. Participating in a new activity is a great way to meet new friends, get active and relieve boredom.

"If successful, we intend to run this project out to the summer, covering more activities and a longer time period. I would encourage all teenagers to try something new this Easter and maybe find a new passion in the process."

Flyers have been sent out to secondary schools in the borough detailing the events. Or if you have missed out, you can print one from www.visitballymoney.com
