Family fun day at Portmore Lough Nature Reserve

Portmore Lough Nature Reserve outside Aghalee, is hosting a family fun day on August 24.

The RSPB’s Giving Nature a Home Fun Day will give you the chance to experience this unique place for yourself.

From 12pm to 4pm families will be able to choose from a huge range of fun activities like ‘bug hotel’ building and pond dipping.

Staff and volunteers will also be on hand with simple ideas about how you can give nature a home in your own garden. You will also have the chance to meet some friendly bees.

From the M1 motorway come off at junction nine (Moira roundabout) and head along the A26 towards the International Airport and Antrim. Go under the railway bridge and pass the Glenavy Road Service Station on the right. Take the second road on the left signposted Aghalee.
