Magherafelt man honoured at Institute of Directors awards

Magherafelt business leader David Henry was among those honoured at the annual Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (IoD NI) Director of the Year Awards sponsored by AIB.

David Henry, managing director of Henry Brothers was named Family Business Director of the Year at a ceremony, held virtually for the first time due to Covid-19 pandemic.

He joined Henry Brothers shortly after leaving school and took over the role of managing director in 2000.

David is responsible for the overall performance of Northern Ireland’s leading construction and manufacturing company.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Gordon Milligan, IoD NI Chairman, said: “A huge congratulations to all this year’s winners, once again proving that the economy here in Northern Ireland benefits from a wealth of leadership talent across the private and public sector, each of them performing to the very highest standards.”
