Young musicians hit the right notes with competition judges

Jake Houston from Wallace High School has been named as the 2020 Northern Ireland Young Musician.

The competition, which was launched by the Rotary Club of Comber in 1993, also saw third place go to another Wallace High School student Julie Piggott.

Flautist Jake played ‘Bali Moods’ by Anne Boyd and ‘Presto’ by Enesco, and Julie’s choice was a set of Romanian Folk Dances by Bartók.
