A barman from Mary’s Bar and Secrets Nightclub in Magherafelt has been selected from entrants across Ireland to be awarded the title of Coca-Cola Signature Serve Bar Tender 2014.
As part of his rpize Nathan Evans will travel to The World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta in America.
Nathan picked up the title recently at the Grand Final in Dublin where regional winners from Belfast, Galway, Dublin and Cork were pitted against each other in a series of tests using the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle.
The Magherafelt bartender displayed an enhanced routine from his regional heat and after coming first in the speed round he spent the remainder of the final mixing, stirring and shaking up some incredible serves, including his ‘Signature Serve’ which celebrated Northern Irish and Irish champions from the world of sport.
The contestants in the Coca-Cola Signature Serve programme had been battling it out since April 2014, through a series of training programmes in their own outlets, followed up by mystery shops before being selected to compete in the grand final.
Henry McGlone, proprietor of Mary’s Bar and Secrets Nightclub said: “We are immensely proud of Nathan who excelled against the very best bartenders from across the island of Ireland. His innovation and creatively shone at the final and we are absolutely delighted that he’s brought the title home to Magherafelt”.
