COOKSTOWN High School Society for Music and Drama are delighted to be back this year with the hilarious and heart-warming story of Calamity Jane, a musical adapted from the famous film which starred Doris Day in one of her most memorable roles.
In the show Western tomboy, Calam rides shotgun on the Deadwood Stage and dresses like a man but can’t help loving like a woman. This production of a fun-filled musical from the Wild West with exciting choreography and unforgettable songs – “Black Hills of Dakota”, “The Deadwood Stage”, “Windy City” and “Secret Love”, among many others, is staged in the Upper Building, Cookstown High School from Wednesday, December 4 to Friday, December 6.
The Wednesday performance is a gala show with a special wild west menu devised by chef Dean Goligher of the Drapers Arms Restaurant, Moneymore
