Cookstown singer nominated for prestigious Emmy awards in America

Cookstown singer Eamonn McCrystal has been nominated in four categories for the prestigious Emmy Awards in the USA.

Speaking of his delight at the four nominations for the Emmys which will be announced on June 13 in Detroit, Eamonn said he was struggling to take it in.

“What a great way to start the day,” he said.

“I am so proud of the entire team who all worked so hard on this project.

“I cannot believe we received four nominations!! Thank you God for another blessing!

“The Music of Northern Ireland is a project very close to my heart and a story that needed to be told - I’m thrilled that the academy honored us with these nominations- it really is unbelievable”

“The Music of Northern Ireland” will re air in June on PBS and is now available on iTunes, Amazon and from all major retailers.

The PBS special “The Music of Northern Ireland with Eamonn McCrystal” received the most nominations (four) in the following categories:
