Dorman’s Magherafelt to be transformed into one of Ireland’s leading nightclubs

DORMAN’S in Magherafelt is set to be transformed into ‘one of Ireland’s leading clubs’, it has been revealed.

Owners of The Opera, Henry and Theresa McGlone say they have commissioned architects who have designed clubs in cities around the world including New York and Dubai.

Opened in 1998, the Opera has collected a host of prestigious awards over the last 15 years.

The pub closed its doors at the weekend ahead of the major refurbishment. It is expected to reopen by the early summer.

A statement from Dorman’s read: “The Opera will be transformed into one of Irelands best entertainment venues!

“Plans have been finalised, architectures have been commissioned who designed some of the worlds most renowned clubs in Dublin, New York and Dubai!

“And now they will create their first masterpiece in Mid-Ulster. Dorman’s and the Opera has closed its doors for now. Phase one of three of the next big secret will be unveiled early Spring 2014.

“Henry and Teresa would like to thank you for custom over the years and look forwarding to seeing you soon.”
