The GCSE Hospitality students of Holy Trinity College recently served up a real treat for their teachers, by cooking and serving a beautiful lunch.
Teachers watched on in amazement as their everyday charges whizzed around in full catering attire, delivering excellent service and scrumptious food and all in the most admirably professional manner.
Keeping their distance in an advisory capacity were Home Economics Department members Mrs Maynes, Mrs O’Neill and Mrs Quinn.
Of course, at Holy Trinity, there is always a range of purposes for any activity and apart from fulfilling the demands of their course, the pupils were able to raise £250 for St Vincent De Paul, when they subtracted their costs from their takings.
Everyone was delighted with this courageous venture, especially the students themselves.
Spokesperson Ciaran Kilpatrick from Year 12 commented that they had been given a great insight into working in the catering and hospitality industry and that they had gained lots of confidence as a result.
“I would love to work in this business for my future” Ciaran commented. On this showing, there is no doubt that these Holy Trinity students have much to offer!”
