Ghastly goings on are a scream in the park

Screaming crowds turned in force for the Ghouls and Fools Halloween fun in Lilian Bland Community Park.

Lots of little monsters really got into the Halloween spirit, dressing up as their favourite characters to celebrate the half-term holidays.

The bewitching bash offered spooktacular activities to keep all the family entertained including magic tricks, a climbing wall and a scary simulator.

Traditional Halloween games were also enjoyed while the younger ones loved Mr Hullabaloo’s spooky stories.

The fancy dress roller disco was a huge hit before the night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

Catherine Hardy of the Glengormley Community Group, which helped organise the event in partnership with the council, said: “The group were delighted at the fantastic turnout from all sections of the community on the night and hope it was enjoyed by all.

“We would like to thank Newtownabbey Borough Council for all the assistance with the event and are very grateful for the hard work of the council officers in the organising and setting up of the nights festivities.”

“Lots of children got into the Halloween spirit and made a huge effort with their fancy dress costumes and some of the adults joined in too.”
