Ghosts of Us premiere at Flowerfield

LOCAL author and film-maker, Philip Henry, will screen his new film Ghosts of Us at Flowerfield Arts Centre on Monday, December 10 at 7.30pm.

The twenty minute film was shot with the financial support of Coleraine Borough Arts Committee and follows the story of Chris and Carol, a middle-aged couple whose marriage is in a rut.

They travel to their favourite holiday cottage and during one magical night learn some things they never knew about each other and rediscover why they fell in love.

The small cast of four was made up of local actors Thomas J. Smyth, Maggie Montgomery, Carleen Melaugh and Michael Anluan.

The film was shot over two days in a rustic cottage outside Portglenone. Though the cottage was reputed to have its own ghost, he didn’t make an appearance, but it did help to keep the cast and crew on their toes.

After this screening, the film will be entered in various festivals in the UK and Ireland as well as internationally. Philip plans to make a full-length feature next year, a crime anthology called Noirland.

Admission is free to this screening and light refreshments will be served afterwards.
