Hazelwood College pupils' success recognised and rewarded
Hosted by Assistant Principal Mr Brennan, the Assembly Hall was filled to capacity to mark another highly successful year in the College.

Hide Adthe College and the Northern Ireland Minister for Education, Peter Weir, who was guest speaker for the evening.
During the evening, Hazelwood celebrated their highest ever GSCE results with 87% five A* - C grades with an increase of six per cent of those students achieving five GCSE’s A*-C including English and Maths.
College Principal Kathleen O’Hare recognised the determination of Hazelwood Integrated’s students and the outstanding teaching and learning environment created by all members of the College staff.
Minister for Education, Peter Weir also had high praise for the College students and staff commenting that it was “a pleasure to visit a school with an ethos that embraces togetherness, a school at the heart of the community and a school with outstanding academic achievement”.

Hide AdThe Niblock Cup for ‘Best GCSE Results’ was presented to Martina Smichova and the Morrow Cup for ‘Best A level Results’ was awarded to seven students.
They were - Natalia Bachryj, Rhys Gilfillan, Caitlin Johnston, Robyn Kenny, Sarah-Louise Kidd, Ralph Santos and
Jeanette Wall.
The special evening also saw Mrs O’Hare present the Principal’s Award to long serving teacher, Gavin Robinson who departed the College in August.
