Hot summer murder at Museum

WITNESS the last gasp of the murder victim, decipher the clues and solve dastardly deed set in the beautiful Belfast Hills as a gruesome murder mystery evening takes place in the Assembly Room, Lisburn Museum on Friday July 6 at 7.00pm.

As part of their first ever Heritage Festival, the Belfast Hills Partnership presents a night of ghastly goings on, intrigue and suspense as a murderous crime takes place. Anyone who dares to come along must try to detect what events took place and who committed the crime - with a word of warning - don‘t trust anyone!

With performers from Play Dead NI, a delicious buffet spread with wine and soft drinks and prizes to be won, this event is guaranteed to be both spellbinding and entertaining.

The festival is part of a Landscape Partnership scheme project being undertaken in the Belfast Hills.

Funded by the Rural Development Programme and the Heritage Lottery Fund the event aims to attract all ages, communities and ethnic groups to experience all that the Belfast Hills have to offer.

Jo Boylan, Outreach Officer for the Belfast Hills Partnership, said, “We hope that by bringing some of the stories and heritage down from the hills to the people of Lisburn we will inspire them to come and explore this unique rural landscape with it amazing abundance of wildlife and hidden history treats.”

Tickets, costing £12, include supper and a drinks reception and can be purchased from the Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum reception (T: 028 9266 3377), or in person. Recommended age guidance is 16+. Fancy dress is encouraged and the event is expected to run until approximately 10pm.
