Kimmie’s show looks back at three decades of her music

A native Texan who calls Austin home, Kimmie’s multi-platinum selling songs have been recorded by such stellar acts as Willie Nelson, Amy Grant, John Farnham, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton, Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris.

A creative and prolific artist, she has recorded and released a total of 15 solo albums, written and produced three musical plays, has a catalogue of hundreds of songs and published a book.

Kimmie began her singing career at the age of six with her family gospel trio before moving to Austin in 1979, where she met DJ and producer Joe Gracey, an instrumental figure in the Austin progressive country scene, who she eventually married. She recorded her first album in 1981.

The success of her subsequent albums led to a series of European tours that received rave reviews. Her promotional tours have created a solid fan base and she has headlined with her band at festivals across the world.

Her Northern Irish tour invites you to join Kimmie and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Rhodes for a very special retrospective set of songs and stories as she revisits memories from a career which spans three decades of honky-tonk nights, movie soundtracks, musical theatre and 12 solo album releases, journeying all the way to freshly penned unreleased tunes.
