Salmon Leap staff reunion night

Did you work in the Salmon Leap, or did you enjoy a night out in the former Castleroe hotel?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then we have a date for your diary.

A special reunion, in memory of a special man, is being organised on Friday, October 11 at the Bushtown House Hotel.

The Salmon Leap closed its doors back in September 2006. At its peak it was one of the top hotels in Northern Ireland.

At this time there were around 35 staff, who many would say were part of one big family under the leadership of Elaine O’Neill (Kennedy)

The reunion, in memory of former owner, the late Brendan Higgins, will raise money for two local charities - Robinson Palliative Care unit and Coleraine Community Rescue Service.

The aim of the night is to bring together old friends from near and far.

Doors will open on the night at 9.30. Music will be provided by ‘Legacy’.

Admission is £10 and tickets will be available from next Monday, September 16 from The Village Butchers in Castlerock or by contacting Hazel on 07731438391 or Elaine O’Neil (Kennedy) on 07519449064.

You can also pay at the door on the night.

Any old photographs can be left with the above people for a trip down memory lane!
