A NEW £500,000 bargain store is set to create 40 jobs in Cookstown when it opens its doors on Saturday.
Home Bargains, which will be located at the former SuperValu site on the Burn Road, will be officially opened by Cookstown District Chairman Tony Quinn.
The 18,000 sq ft discount store will be the eighth to open in the province, joining 300 others across the UK.
The store will give Cookstown shoppers the chance to get their hands on the latest bargains, including a great selection of homewares.
It also stocks a range of other top branded goods at fantastic value, including health and beauty, household, sweets and snacks, home style and drinks.
Joe Morris, Home Bargain’s operations director, said the retailer was excited to be opening a Cookstown store.
“Burn Road will be a great location for us.
“We’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
The bargain retailer also announced plans to open 50 other shops throughout the country over the next 12 months.
The company also has an e-commerce website, www.homebargains.co.uk, enabling customers to buy items online.
Cookstown District Council’s Chairman, Councillor Tony Quinn, will cut the ribbon officially open the store to shoppers this Saturday, March 30th at 8.30am
