New cooking equipment has been added to the collection of items available to collect in 2015, and the popular Cooking and Nutrition Toolkits, endorsed by the British Nutrition Foundation, and recipe cards will keep children excited about cooking.

David Sterrett, deputy store manager at Sainsbury’s Carrickfergus, said: “The Active Kids scheme is a brilliant way for our colleagues to get involved with schools, groups and clubs in our local area. We love visiting local organisations and seeing the benefits the equipment and experiences have brought to the children.”

There are now 27 organisations registered to the Active Kids scheme in Carrickfergus, including Downshire School, St Colman’s Scouts and several primary schools.
