If you think there’s very little to do in and around Magherafelt in the run up to Christmas, you would be very wrong.
With events ranging from a party at the Fort Centre, Maghera to a musical production in Magherafelt - there is lots to do to suit every taste.
The Fort Centre annual Christmas party, which is on Wednesday [Dec 10] from 7-9pm.
And everyone is welcome.
DJ Mr Sean Lagan will provide entertainment on the evening and a big pot of Irish Stew will be on the hob to warm those winter chills.
A “Special Guest” will be arriving to check up on how all of our riders have been getting on over the last year and no doubt he’ll have plenty of treats for all.
Meanwhile, Magherafelt High School Drama Society will be performing their Christmas Showcase - a musical production at 7.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 16&17.
Performed in the round, the production will feature well-known characters from the very popular Annie, and will be followed by light refreshments.
Tickets cost £5, and are available from the school office, or by phoning 028 7963 2385.
And on Sunday, December 14 the Minister and Congregation of Magherafelt Methodist Church in Church Street are inviting everyone to join in with their annual Christmas carol service - Carols for all.
Starting at 4pm, the Wesleyan singers will perform under the direction of our musical director Mr Fred Dunlop and accompanied by local young people on instruments.
Tea will be served in the church hall after the service and everyone is welcome to attend.
