Appeal for witnesses after car hijacking

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for witnesses to a hijacking in the Dunmurry area, on October 1.

A man reported to police that he was driving his white Vauxhall van, in the Pembrooke Loop area at 10.30pm on October 31, when he came across a male lying on the ground. The driver said when he got out to help he was approached by two other men, one armed with a knife, who forced the man back into the van with them.

He was driven to the Garlandstown Road, Glenavy and was told to get out. He walked home and reported the incident to police. Police can be contacted on 101.
