An Augher man charged with disorderly behaviour on licenced premises has been sentenced to 2 months in prison.

A court heard how on December 6 last year, police were on mobile patrol on Thomas Street, Dungannon when they observed the defendant using a mobile phone. Police stopped the driver and informed him that he had been seen using his mobile phone while driving to which he replied “Ah nah.” Mr Montgomery was ordered to produce his licence within a time frame which he failed to do.

Police arrived and Mr Montgomery had sustained lacerations to his arm which he was treated for. CCTV footage was shown to officers which showed Mr Montgomery and another male involved in an altercation. In addition to the 2 month sentence, he was fined a total of £190 and 3 points.
