Award for chamber

Carrickfergus Junior Chamber picked up a prestigious accolade in March 1986.

The chamber was presented with the Ronnie Hamilton Memorial Award for International Relations.

The local Junior Chamber picked up the award for a project which twinned the chamber with Tullamore Junior Chamber in Co Offaly, Republic of Ireland.

This was the third time that Carrickfergus Junior Chamber had received the top recognition.

The other two previous times were in 1982 and 1983.

The prestigious award was presented in memory of the past chairman of the Northern Ireland Regional Group of British Junior Chambers, Mr Ronnie Hamilton.
