The principal feels that this success is the combination of teachers’ high expectations, pupils’ hard work, the support of parents and indeed the support which the wider community gives to the school.

Mrs Ward expressed her deep gratitude to her staff. ‘The teaching and support staff in Cross and Passion are extremely generous, talented people who continually go the extra mile to make sure that our pupils get the encouragement, support and care that they need to achieve their personal best,” concluded the principal of Cross and Passion College.

Mrs Ward commented on the range of successes achieved in

CPC last year despite extremely challenging educational

environment and the pressures on schools and on young people.

‘We have had a great year with a tremendous ETI inspection

report, debating success at the highest level in NI and an All-

Ireland Hurling title and we all look forward to building on this

success in the years to come’.
