By Cathal Hills A LOCAL charity group, known as 'Blazing Saddles' have taken part in a cycle ride to raise money for MacMillan Cancer.

Set up by Robert Gray, the group aims to do more events for other charities later in the year.

The bike ride was their first ever charity event.

They left from the MIllside Restaurant in Gracehill near Ballymena and travelled to the Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy.

Coleen Aldridge, 24, from Liscolman, said many families experience cancer and it was a very worthwhile charity to raise money for.

The event raised an estimated total of 1500, a great achievement.

Coleen would like to give a big thanks to all who took part, including the drivers who escorted the cyclists. She also wants to remind anyone who hasn't returned their sponsorship forms to do so soon.
