Café and bar plans for bombed block

PLANS have been lodged to convert a bombed out block of retail units in Londonderry into a hot food bar and café.

The application refers to a bomb damaged retail block opposite Londonderry’s main cityside police station at Strand Road, which was the target of an Óglaigh na hÉireann car bomb last August.

The plans are to change the use of 70-72 Strand Road from two retail units to a “hot food bar and café.”
